Editorial Policy
The Packing Machine (TPM) is an independent engineering research site covering packaging machinery selection, benchmarks and buyer guidance. This policy explains how we research, source and grade everything we publish.
Our Editorial Standard
Every article is written from a buyer’s engineering perspective. We publish what a sourcing engineer needs to know — tolerances, speeds, failure modes, cost drivers — not marketing copy.
How We Source Information
Every claim in our articles traces to a source, and we grade sources:
- Grade A (✓ Verified) — primary manufacturer documentation: official case studies, spec sheets, references published on the manufacturer’s own domain, or verified trade-press reporting with named parties
- Grade A− (Industry-documented) — verified manufacturer capability or industry-level data where no single named customer case exists; labeled as such in the text
- Grade B (Reported) — credible secondary reporting; used with attribution, flagged as such
- Grade C (Excluded) — unattributed AI-generated content farms and anonymous blogs; we do not use these as verification for anything
Where a number is vendor-reported and not independently confirmed, we say so in the text. Where a case cannot be verified to this standard, we either label it “industry reference, unverified” or we don’t publish it.
Corrections
We correct errors transparently. If you find a factual mistake, email [email protected] with the URL and contradicting source. Verified corrections are applied within 5 business days, with a note at the top of the corrected article.
Independence & Conflicts of Interest
TPM is operated by the Lintyco Pack team. Our research methodology is applied uniformly to all manufacturers — including competitors and ourselves. Articles comparing machine classes or brands draw only on Grade A/A− sources with in-text attribution. We do not accept payment to alter rankings, benchmarks or conclusions.
AI Use Disclosure
We use AI-assisted tooling for research organization, drafting and site maintenance. All published facts, numbers and case data are human-reviewed against the source-grading standard above. AI is a tool in our workflow, never a source.
Update Cadence
Benchmark articles are reviewed at least every 6 months; machine price guides quarterly; breaking industry news (regulation changes, major M&A) within days. The “Last updated” line at the top of each article reflects the latest full review.
